No matter what your age is, Temple Kol Ami offers you many ways to get to know others and feel well. After all, the synagogue is also known as Beit Haknesset, the House of Gathering. And when you want to get together, TKA offers you a great Social Connections group for all sort of fun outdoors and indoors activities, the possibilities of helping others in need, and the most active Youth group in our region. All this is Temple Kol Ami.

Osei Chesed (= Deeds/Doers of Lovingkindness) has the twofold aim of providing practical assistance to individuals in financial, emotional or physical distress, and developing programs that emphasize the joy of performing acts of lovingkindness within our community and outside.
Part of our mandate is to assist members who have suffered bereavement. Our Chevra Kadisha organizes shiva services and seeks to support the mourners in every possible way. The Temple is also a member of the Pardes Shalom Memorial Community and Cemetery.

Members of Temple Kol Ami participate in an active social calendar. A wide variety of activities are planned each year. Some of the most successful have been the Temple’s own Coffee-house and Talent Show, Costume Parties, Trivia Nights, weekend ski trips to Mont Tremblant, group attendance at theatres and film screenings, and a multitude of sports activities, just to name a few. Good times and good friends are made by attending Temple Kol Ami Social Events.

Reform Jewish Outreach is based on the mitzvah of drawing near those who are far. Temple Kol Ami has a strong history of opening its doors to welcome the non-affiliated, to encourage those new to Jewish life, and to support non-Jews sharing their life with a Jewish partner.

The Membership Committee seeks to establish contact with those exploring membership options in Temple Kol Ami. We take the time to say Hello and to explain what our community is all about. We also try to ensure that those who are new are never left standing alone in a corner during the oneg.
In addition, the Membership Committee develops advertising campaigns and printed information resources for external and in-house use.
For membership information, you may always contact the office at 905.709.2620 (info@templekolami.ca). For more information contact either Mike Mortimer (416) 661-8259 or Cy Charney (905) 886-6512.
